How Break-Even Analysis Facilitate an Entrepreneur Aiming to Launch a Sustainable Business

Entrepreneurs are those who try to run a business through substantial risk and initiatives. Therefore to succeed, entrepreneurs should minimize the chance of failure through effective designing of a business plan and market analysis long before they launch their business. Break-even analysis for instance, is a great formula that thoroughly analyzes the costing and selling prices for running the business and therefore attempts to determine the costing and selling price of a product or a service to reach a point where the company will not suffer from loss. Not knowing proper break-even point at which a business can run sustainably, many organizations have dramatically increased the possibility of failure.

Determine the Minimum Sales Volume required to Avoid Losses:

Break-even analysis can facilitate an entrepreneur to confirm the selling amount in units and in price for a range of products and services those are to be sold so far for the business to produce enough revenue to pay its expenses. Knowing what percentage or units should be sold to achieve the break-even can enable a businessperson to avoid suffering from losses in both the short and long run.

Know the Minimum Sales Volume required to Avoid Losses:

Break-even analysis can facilitate an entrepreneur confirm the sales amount in units and in price or range of products and services that has to be sold for the business to produce enough revenue to pay its expenses. Hence, knowing what percentage units should be sold to achieve the break-even point can enable a businessperson to avoid suffering from losses at any given period of time.

Targeting the Profit Levels:

Besides, break-even analysis permits an enterprise to grasp what proportion of profit it will earn at completely different sales volumes. Any sales volume or range of units sold surpassing the break-even point can eventually result to a profit. Likewise a number of different set of sales volumes can be employed to understand how much profit might be generated from each of these sets. This helps an -enterprise to determine sales targets which will let it reach desired profit levels. This is particularly going be helpful for determining a territory sales target.

Setting up the acceptable price:

The price of the offering is one of the major factors that an organization should take into account. Once operation has started an appropriate pricing will spell the distinction between failure and success of an enterprise. Nonetheless, the impact of pricing on the possible profitability of the organization is to be studied accurately. Setting totally different price indexes and evaluating the break-even analysis at every level can facilitate an enterprise to study the result of every set of price level in relevantly different major factors like client affordability, market competitiveness and impact on inventory management.

Schedule Your Merchandise Inventory necessities:

Break-even analysis can facilitate an enterprise schedule product inventory levels. Entrepreneurs should stock enough inventories to have products available for sale as required by the customers. In other words, if the offering is not adequately available, it may harm the overall branding of the enterprise. The number of products that are to be offered to customers at any given time and the schedule of further stock to be purchased or produced are very important and can easily be planned once the break-even analysis has been done. Once a clear idea is generated about the volume of inventory according to the figures provided by the break-even analysis, it becomes easy for the organizations to determine the initial stock.

7 Things You Can Do EVERYDAY To Become A BETTER Entrepreneur!

Becoming a successful entrepreneur is not something that happens over night. It's a daily battle to be your best version of yourself all the time. It takes constant work and self-education.
If you want to run a successful business you have to plan for the future. You should have weekly, monthly and yearly goals. Most importantly it takes action to be successful with those goals. Here are seven things you can do every day to become a better entrepreneur and accomplish all of your goals.
1. Always work on one project at a time.
We are most effective when we are working on one project at a time. Make sure to stick to your plan for the day until moving on to another project. This is crucial in order for each project to be excellent. Remember, were not striving for perfection, were striving for excellence.
2. Don't give your time away to others.
One of the best ways to ruin a productive day is to give into distractions. We all know that distractions come from just about anywhere and they can be very tempting to give into. When we are distracted we lose focus and then lose all control over what were doing. I know that it can be difficult to be the one saying "no" all the time to your friends parties and random beach days but this is a very important part of being a successful entrepreneur.
3. Plan each day the night before.
When we fail to plan we are planning to fail. Without a plan for the day it's very easy to end up at the end of the day wondering why you haven't gotten anything done. Being a successful entrepreneur requires self discipline and a daily plan. Try getting the most difficult task of the day done first thing so that the rest of your day will feel a lot easier and you won't wast a lot of your energy thinking about that "difficult" task all day.
4. Wake up earlier.
Deciding what time to wake up is a personal choice and a lot of people want to be entrepreneurs so that they can wake up when they choose. It is important to feel well rested to get the most out of your day but make sure your not sleeping more than you need to. After all remember that the early bird gets the worm. When you wake up before everyone else you can use the quiet time to meditate on what your plans are for the day and also get some exercise in to clear your mind. This is an important formula for many very successful entrepreneurs.
5. Start your day with a positive attitude.
Right when you wake up begin to think of things that you are grateful for. If this is something that you have trouble with you can read affirmations to yourself to assure that you are feeding your mind what it needs. It can be very difficult to have a positive outlook when the first thing you do is checking your Facebook or emails. There's so much negativity on the internet that it's very important for us to feed our mind with what it needs the most first thing in the morning.
6. Respect your work-life boundaries.
As entrepreneurs, it can be very easy to go weeks without leaving your home. After all there is nobody telling us to stop working or when to start working. We'll maybe the wife/husband but we all know how that goes. We're all about getting the most out of our days and pushing it to the limit. Don't forget to spend time with people that are important to you and on hobbies that you enjoy. This is all part of living a good life.
7. Stay organized.
Staying organized is essential to getting the most out of your days. You want to have a DMO (daily method of operation. Set up a schedule of exactly how many hours and when your going to work on certain tasks. This will save you lots of time and you can get right what you need to do. Yes there will be things that come up everyday that can take you away from your schedule but it will be easy to make these adjustments as they come up.
There are more than seven things to put on this list, of course, but these are a good start to get you on your way.
Overall, the main goal of entrepreneurship is to create freedom in your life and make an impact in the lives of those whom your business serves. To do that, you need a plan, focus and constant growth both personally and in your business. Set yourself up for success each day, and strive to get better.

Avoiding Business Abortion - Yikes!

"O God! Can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?"
-Edgar Allan Poe, A Dream Within a Dream
In keeping with the theme from my last article, this week I wanted to discuss another important aspect of starting your own business. This one, however, may be even more controversial than last week's post because it will probably feel like I am attacking your family; particularly, I am about to attack your baby and it's not gonna feel good.
Being an entrepreneur myself, I know the pride that comes with starting your business or creating your product: seeing your logo on a sign, seeing reviews on social media, reading your awesome title on a business card out loud. Owner. President. It's as good a feeling as having your kid become POTUS.
BUT I am about to take that business card and rip it into hundreds of little pieces right in front of your face. Well, not me but I'm gonna ask you to do it. Go ahead - try it.
How did that feel? I bet it was a devastating feeling. But as an entrepreneur, you're gonna need to get used to it, but not always for negative reasons. Let me explain.
My first business was a tanning salon. Yes, I actually sold sunshine in the Sunshine State. I planned for over a year, researching the industry, trends, viability in my market, competition, location, and much much more. I wrote a 65-page business plan, and I was very proud of that. Even the bank loan specialists were impressed with the plan and many asked for copies to keep, even after denying me a loan. I'll get into more details on that in another post, but there are two important points here. First, I opened the business with my fiancée at the time (again, a future post will focus on starting a business with friends and family). My second problem was actually related to the first: my fiancée felt all those giddy things I mentioned in the second paragraph above, and she wanted to avoid feeling what I mentioned in the third.
When the business grew to a point where I felt it was time to expand (i.e., a second location, franchising the brand, etc.) she did not want anyone else to have a controlling interest in the company. Not even 5%. And to avoid a lengthy discussion or fight, I went along with it.
Then, about a year later, our relationship came to an end. We had a brief discussion about the business, and I told her to keep it. Most of my family and friends believe that was a mistake. But, an entrepreneur needs to be able to see when a decision or product or service is going to create a hemorrhage that could prove to be his or her own personal extinction asteroid. I had cut my losses and moved on; I knew I could open another tanning salon if I wanted to, and eventually buy her out - but I never cared for the tanning business.
Had I tried to fight for a share of that business, I'd probably still be fighting for it ten years later, and only the lawyers would be making any money off of it. Thing is, I had planned for this (and many other crazy scenarios) in my business plan. I'd even planned for an often-missed "best case scenario" (in which the business grows too quickly to be sustainable). The tanning salon is still afloat, but it's not making my ex a millionaire by any means.
So, learn to kill that baby. I recommend giving away a precious possession or buying a graphics tablet like the Buddha, Adesso, or Crayola, then write or draw something amazing every day or every week, and wipe it clean (or let it clear itself). You can even get a dry-erase board and do this on a budget. If you get a sweetheart deal from a "White Knight" investor like those on TV, weigh the options objectively and do it. It's usually for the best.

Tips For Overcoming Fear And Overwhelm In Your Digital Business

When starting out on your business, the entrepreneurial journey cannot and should not be rushed. It is different for everyone because it's a personal journey.
Often, new entrepreneurs in our community who feel overwhelmed send me little emails asking me "how long I think it will take for them to start seeing some sign of life in their new business"
If you are an entrepreneur and you find yourself often asking this question, know that you are not alone. But asking such questions certainly doesn't help produce your success.
It is such a poor quality question that the best you can possibly get out of this frequency is more overwhelm and self-doubt.
In my little greenhouse this question was presented to me yet again by a new member who just joined our mastermind. She is not a newbie as an entrepreneur and has been struggling her way into success for a long time in her traditional business.
As she now seeks to transition into the online business, she's realizing that those same methods can only produce the same old results, which is a far cry from her heart's desire. The new freedom and success that she would love to enjoy in her digital business is going to require a new mindset.
When she asked me " how long is it going to take?" I told her the same thing I am going to tell you, if that's something you often wonder.
It will take only as much time as is needed for you to manifest the prosperity you desire.
Stop asking such low quality questions! They can only sabotage the goodness that's trying to make its way into your life.
Albert Einstein is among the brilliant minds whose known to place emphasis on asking high quality questions.
If you go to Google and type in a low quality question, you can only receive a low quality answer. All the answers are there, but you will only have access to the answers that come close to your question.
Similarly, if you go to life and ask such low quality questions, you can't possibly expect the highest and best answers to make their way into your experience.
So, do yourself and your business a huge favor and stop sabotaging your incubating success with those negative thoughts. This is why we have meetings in my little greenhouse, because I realized the need to create a space where fellow entrepreneurs can come and feel safe enough to dream, to mastermind and to nurture the seeds they've sown in their business.
Since fear is one of the biggest evils in the world, we must always be on the lookout for the tricks and seductive measures it may use to lure us in.
It isn't that fear is powerful; rather it's our minds that haven't been properly trained and developed.
After many years of poor mental and spiritual diets, our mental muscles are frail and so when we have a big dream, when we go after prosperity and freedom through digital entrepreneurship, we've got to make sure that certain measures are also at hand to help strengthen and develop the right mental attitudes and maintain the right atmosphere.
So if you have been struggling with overwhelm, that's OK just learn to move through it quickly.
If you are the kind of person who feels like you have too many ideas that you don't know which action to take first, that's OK too, just don't allow yourself to become paralyzed by that.
I can't tell you how many people I talk to who feel stuck because they don't know whether to podcast, shoot videos, publish articles, write a book, create a course or do webinar trainings first.
Listen, the choices in the online world are endless, if you get caught up in the hype that marketers sell us each day over "which big thing to do now to gain 1000 subscribers fast" you'll never start anything!
Stop being blown away by the winds of online marketing and start following your own game plan.
Designing your digital lifestyle and living life on your own terms begins with learning to carve out your own best path, not blindly following gurus.
If you struggle with thoughts such as:
  • What if I fail?
  • What if I become too successful and end up losing my family relationships, friends etc.
  • What if more success means more hard work?
  • Will things change if I have more money?
  • Who am I to really think I can create an online empire.
These are all just patterns of thought that form your paradigms. It is the paradigm that you seriously want to work on so that you can renew your mindset to one that favors the growth and success of your business.
The topic of paradigms and your mind would require an entire lesson of which time doesn't permit here, but I certainly encourage you to check out our website because there's a downloadable complimentary lesson on the mind and paradigms.
For now, here are a few tips that will help
Whenever you catch yourself in that space of overwhelm, self-doubt, discouragement and fear, do the following:
1. Take 6 deep breaths paying close attention to your breathing.
2. Acknowledge the achievements you've made in your life. There are certain things you've accomplished so far, bring those to mind, acknowledge that, and celebrate it.
3. Connect to your vision and ground yourself in that. Reconnect with why you're even choosing this entrepreneurial path. What is your big "why" - and this is where your purpose comes in.
If the driving power for this chosen path isn't something deep, passionate and beautiful, you won't be able to fuel yourself into victory. The right desire is all-important; so make sure you get very clear on yours.
4. From this space of having connected with your vision and falling back into alignment with it, consider what you have now, where you stand, that you can use to move forward.
Learn to start with what you have, where you are, not what you don't have.
Stop seeing what you don't have or what's missing in order for you to move toward your dream and start finding what you've already got working for you. And I will not accept that you don't have anything - there's always something.
We live and move and have our being in the midst of divine intelligence and divine love; there's got to be something no matter how small that you can use now. Ask the divine power breathing you, and He will give you a clue as to what you could use.
5. It's time for inspired action. Take just one baby step action today that will move you toward your vision.
Something that will move you a step closer in the direction of your dream and that desire that you hold in your heart. It doesn't have to be anything big, just make sure it's meaningful, in service to your dream and that you enjoy doing it.
Finally, may I encourage you to just allow yourself to be in the flow of your life and the season that you're in.
If you stop trying to force things to become what they aren't yet ready to be, you'll dissolve many of the aches, pains and frustrations that currently surround you.
Life is perfectly unfolding, divine intelligence is all around you and as long as you do your part to the best of your ability and in true faith, life will always deliver far richer manifestations than you could ever produce through willpower.

10 Mistakes to Avoid When Buying a Hotel Business

The hotel business is thriving worldwide with an impressive 550 billion U.S. dollars revenue expected to come in this year as reported by Statista. No wonder investors are so eager to devote their money to international hotel franchises. An increasing number of entrepreneurs are turning towards the hotel industry when they think of buying a business.
It can be difficult to land a profitable deal if you are unsure of how to proceed. Here are some common errors to avoid when purchasing an existing hotel business.
1. Ignoring full disclosure
When you meet the seller, they will present a well rehearsed pitch to entice you into purchasing their hotel. That's understandable but you should not allow future potential to cloud your judgment of the present. What matters in the end is the actual business you receive not what it could be in a couple of years. Make a point to focus on the liabilities that come with that purchase. Having facts and figures about essentials like rents, wages, employees, contracts, taxes, etc. will paint a realistic picture in your mind.
2. Neglecting due diligence
Never take the seller's word for it. It's not personal just business. Always ask for numbers outright but double-check them. It is your right to ask for proper documents and reports that depict the investments and cash flow of the establishment. Hire professional brokers, accountants and lawyers who are experienced in handling hotel purchases.
3. Unprepared for lifestyle change
It's always unwise to buy a business before understanding how it functions on a daily basis and your involvement in it. Hotels operate 24/7 so do not expect to be free on nights and weekends all the time. An excellent way to get accustomed to it is to come to an agreement with the seller about offering a free crash course in running a hotel.
4. Overlooking contracts
A hotel needs plenty of supplies so there are fixed contracts with vendors you must look into before closing the deal. Check the quality of the supplies and the reliability of the vendor. It is very important to ensure there are no overdue payments that maybe piled on you because you were clueless about them.
5. Disregarding outstanding rent
There are often regular rental agreements signed by the hotel for daily supplies, furnishings, etc. So take an inventory of all the hotel assets and how many of them are rentals. Request a full history of those rentals to confirm none of the rent is still due to be paid. Such small expenses could pile up to create debts for you after you sign the deal unaware of them.
6. Not checking bookings
Apart from regular check-ins hotels hire out halls and conference rooms for corporate and private events. Take note of all the future bookings made by clients. These usually have advance deposits so you have to be certain all of those payments have been paid to you not the seller.
7. Underestimating tax payments
A large establishment like a hotel has a giant bundle of taxes waiting to be paid on a regular basis. Have your lawyer and accountant look through all legal documents and compile a list of taxes the hotel owes is crucial to escape any possible seizing of assets due to unpaid taxes.
8. Incomplete employee records
Not all employees are fulltime and work daily. There may be several different contracts the hotel has with employees. Do a full review of employee performances to see if it is up to mark. Be aware of hotel policies on insurance, wages, holidays, sick leaves, etc. regarding employees.
9. Risking financial vulnerability
Not all sellers are cooperative. It might be that the hotel seller is unwilling to compromise on key issues and you don't want to let a splendid opportunity pass you buy because of one person. Be courteous and diplomatic ensuring you are not placed in a position where you will have to bear the brunt of loss if something goes awry.
10. Not seeking specialists
This is imperative particularly if you have never negotiated for a hotel business before. A seasoned hotel owner can easily strike an agreement that gives him advantage over you leaving you with the short end of the stick. Find lawyers, accountants, brokers and advisors who have sufficient experience and can help you navigate the deal safely.
Finding a hotel business for sale online (https://tobuz.com) has gained more popularity in recent years with a surge in internet security and the global business community becoming close knit. You don't have to exhaust yourself running here and there for appointments when you can simply have open conversations with sellers online.
